As the saying goes, "No good deed goes unpunished."  (Attributed to Walter Map in the 12th century.) Peter and John may have felt this way because they were thrown in prison and then brought before the "Supreme Court" of their day because they healed a man who was born lame. You'd think everyone would be overjoyed at this, but no, not the Sanhedrin.  Why were they upset? Hint: this is the same court that sentenced Jesus to death.
If you want to get closer to God, come out on Saturday mornings. We meet at the church every Saturday, beginning at 8:00 to 9:30AM so you can get to those projects you were planning to complete.
