It's becoming a habit that we don't get finished with the planned study on Saturday mornings and last Saturday was no exception. Therefore, we'll pick up where we left off last Saturday in  II Kings 9.
A note of interest: Last Saturday, we read, in verse 13, "Then in haste every man of them took his garment and put it under him on the bare steps, and they blew the trumpet and proclaimed, “Jehu is king.”" Note they put their garments down and Jehu walked on them. This was a common way to honor people in that day and we see it again in the story of Jesus' triumphal entry (John12, for example). We also see vestiges of it in today's society when we put out the red carpet or when flower pedals are sprinkled on the ground before the bride walks down the aisle.
We meet each Saturday at the church, from 8:00-9:30 AM and enjoy some donuts, pastries, or other light breakfast-type food. I hope you can make it!
