Our Mission
The basic mission of Fairview Community Church is “Preaching Salvation Through Jesus Christ.” The dominant reason for FCC to exist is to preach the saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world in obedience to Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:18–20 (NASB95):
18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
And, per His command in Acts 1:8 (NASB95):
8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
An ancillary reason for FCC’s existence is to provide a loving and comfortable environment to effectively minister to the spiritual and physical needs of those people in FCC’s sphere of influence. Woven throughout all that FCC does is the goal to do all to the glory of God according to 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NASB95), which reads:
31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
